Mizan Shaikh is a product designer working on the human layer of AI: how people steer, approve, and trust agentic systems.

The work I like best starts as just words: a direction a team can’t quite see yet, a strategy no one has made concrete. I turn that into something they can see, argue with, and commit to.

Often the clearest way to show that direction is to build it rather than describe it. A working prototype someone can click through lands faster than any document, and it carries the quality into what ships instead of losing it in the handoff, so I make mine behave like the real product rather than a picture of it.

Underneath all of it, I care a lot about craft: the small details, cutting what doesn’t earn its place, keeping things honest and intuitive. I like building things I’m proud of.
